Built By Austinites Who Missed Having A Crew
Besties BFF started in 2019 as a Facebook group for a dozen or so people who had moved to Austin for work and couldn't quite figure out how to make friends outside of it. A few coffee meetups turned into a running club, then a Wednesday dinner series, then an actual organization with a small staff and a home base on Congress Avenue.
We're not a dating app and we're not a networking group. Every event, quiz question, and club is built around one goal: helping adults across Austin build friendships that stick, whether you just relocated here, went through a breakup, or realized your college friends all live somewhere else now.

Creating a profile and taking the friend-matching quiz is free. Most events run $10 to $25 to cover the venue, food, or activity, and the price is always listed before you RSVP.
Q. Do I have to come to events alone?
Most members do, and that's by design — showing up solo is the fastest way to actually meet new people. If you'd rather bring someone, many events allow one guest for a small added fee.

You'll answer questions about your interests, your schedule, and what you're looking for in a friend group. A Besties BFF coordinator reviews your answers and places you in a circle of six to ten compatible members.
Q. Is Besties BFF only for one age group?
Our members mostly range from their late twenties to early fifties, though we welcome any adult over 21 who's looking to build genuine friendships. Groups are often organized loosely by life stage and interests.
Q. Where do events take place?
Events happen all over Greater Austin, including South Congress, East Austin, Mueller, the Domain, and Round Rock. Every listing includes the exact address plus parking or transit notes.
