These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of bestiesbff.com and any events, clubs, or matching services offered by Besties BFF ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, attending an event, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 21 years old to create a Besties BFF account, attend an event, or join a club. By using our services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
2. Description of Service
Besties BFF provides a friend-matching quiz, in-person events, and member-led clubs designed to help adults in the Austin, Texas area build platonic friendships. Besties BFF is not a dating service, and matching decisions are made using a combination of member-submitted preferences and staff review. We do not guarantee that any particular match, event, or club will result in a friendship.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at contact@bestiesbff.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Event Participation and Assumption of Risk
Many Besties BFF events involve physical activity, including hiking, kayaking, and other outdoor or group activities, and take place at third-party venues we do not own or control. By registering for an event, you acknowledge that participation carries inherent risks, including the risk of injury, and you voluntarily assume those risks. You agree that Besties BFF is not responsible for injuries, losses, or damages arising from your participation in an event, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Some events may require a separate written waiver before you participate.
5. Payments, Pricing, and Cancellations
Event prices are listed at the time of registration and are charged through our third-party payment processor. Besties+ membership is billed monthly at the rate shown at signup and can be canceled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Event cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event start time are eligible for a full refund; cancellations inside 48 hours are issued as account credit rather than a cash refund, since venues, food, and hosting arrangements are typically confirmed by that point. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an event, in which case affected members will receive a full refund or credit.
6. Member Conduct
We expect members to treat one another with respect at all events, clubs, and online interactions. Harassment, discrimination, solicitation, and disruptive behavior are not tolerated. Event hosts may ask a member to leave an event for violating this standard, and we may suspend or terminate accounts for repeated or serious violations, without a refund for the event in question.
7. Friend Circles and Clubs
Friend circle placements and club membership are offered as a service to help facilitate introductions. Besties BFF does not control, and is not responsible for, the ongoing conduct of members within a friend circle or club once introductions have been made. Members are expected to treat one another respectfully in all continued interactions, whether organized by Besties BFF or arranged independently among members.
8. Intellectual Property
The Besties BFF name, logo, website content, and materials are owned by Besties BFF or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content for commercial purposes without written permission.
9. Disclaimers
Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our website, the accuracy of member-submitted information, or particular outcomes from participating in our matching process, events, or clubs.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Besties BFF's total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services will not exceed the amount you paid to Besties BFF in the twelve months before the claim arose. Besties BFF is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Besties BFF harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your conduct at an event, or your interactions with other members.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in good faith, is harmful to other members or to Besties BFF.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
