Friend Meetups & Events in Austin
Several events a week across Austin — mixers, dinners, hikes, and game nights, all capped at a small group size and hosted by someone whose job is to make sure you don't spend the night standing by yourself.
Real Plans Beat Another Profile To Swipe Through
A friend-matching quiz can point you toward the right people, but friendships still need somewhere to actually happen. That's what our events are for — a standing reason to show up, meet people in person, and see whether a connection is worth following up on.
Every event on this page is run by Besties BFF, not a third-party listing site. Group sizes stay small on purpose, usually eight to fifteen people, and a trained host is on-site to make introductions, keep the group moving, and make sure new faces don't end up on the edge of the conversation.
Types of Events We Host
Four formats we come back to again and again, because they consistently turn strangers into friends.
Weekly Mixers
Casual after-work meetups at a bar or coffee shop, capped around fifteen people, always with a host making introductions instead of leaving you to find a group on your own.
Themed Dinners
Small-group dinners at local restaurants, usually eight to ten people split around a shared table so every conversation actually includes everyone at it.
Outdoor Meetups
Hikes, kayak trips, and park hangouts that use the activity itself as the icebreaker, so nobody's standing around wondering what to say next.
Trivia & Game Nights
Team-based trivia and board game nights that mix newer members in with regulars, so you're never the only new face at the table.

How RSVPs Work
Browse the calendar
Every event lists the date, neighborhood, group size cap, and price up front, so you know exactly what you're signing up for before you RSVP.
RSVP and pay online
Reserve your spot in a couple of minutes. Most events run $10 to $35 depending on the venue and activity, and the fee covers the space, food, or equipment.
Show up and look for your host
Every event has a Besties BFF host wearing a name tag who will introduce you around within the first few minutes so you're never left standing on your own.
Say yes to the follow-up plan
Most groups plan their next hangout before the first one even ends. Say yes, add it to your calendar, and you're on your way to an actual friend group.
Event FAQs
Usually, yes. Most events stay open until the group fills up rather than closing on a fixed schedule, so it's worth checking the calendar even a day or two before.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before an event are fully refunded. Inside 48 hours, we'll credit your account toward a future event instead, since venues and hosts are already booked.
That's who they're built for. Roughly half of the people at any given event are attending for the first or second time, and your host will make sure you're introduced around early.
Occasionally, yes — Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville all show up on the calendar a few times a month, and we add more suburbs as membership grows in those areas.
